Dear Girls & Women Runners

In light of recent events, I'm sharing these tips that can help to keep you safe when running.

Please remember that if you experience any difficult situation, that you're not to be blamed.

THIS IS NOT ON YOU! Stay safe and keep running strong.

1. Make your Strava map invisible and your Garmin run private

In my case, I don't want to make my account private so I'm reducing map visibility.

2. Share you location with friends/family

Settings > Click on your Name> Click Find My > Share My Location is On

3. Tell your friend/ family your running route or arrival time

Plan to switch up your routes, where you run, and when.

4. Run with no music or only one airpod / earbud in

5. Carry Protection & Learn How To Use It Priorly

Protection: Pepper spray, pocket knife, mace, etc.

6. Be Aware of Your Surroundings

7. Use an App to Send Your Location to Authorities (Noonlight, etc.)

8. Practice Scenarios on How You Would Get Out of a Difficult Situation

9. Trust Your Instincts

10. Take Self Defense Classes

11. Run with a Friend/ Running Club

12. Be Strong
